Eager to find a setting more in line with the event than their usual venue, the Mets 92 have set their sights on Roland-Garros to face AS Monaco in the Betclic Elite final.
Paris-La Défense Arena, Bercy, Orléans… Boulogne-Levallois aimed to find a base more in line with the scale of the event than his usual venue, Marcel-Cerdan, for his home match(es), in the final of the Betclic Elite. The Mets 92 will receive AS Monaco on June 15 for the third match, and possibly the 17, in the event of match 4. Finally, Victor Wembanyama and company will take up residence at Roland-Garros. RMC gave the information earlier this Wednesday, commented by Gilles Moretton, former boss of Asvel and current president of the French Tennis Federation (FFT), on Europe1later in the day : “We are delighted to be of service to French sport. The poster deserves it, and as many people as possible must come to see Wembanyama“.
Remember that the first two matches of the final will take place on June 10 and 12 on the Roca-Team floor, in Gaston-Médecin, as well as a possible fifth round, on June 20. The “Wemby” Mets had received Asvel at the Accor Arena in the semi-finals, but comedian Inès Reg is due to perform there on June 17, the date of a possible match 4. It will not be the first time the big orange ball invites itself into the temple of the small yellow ball: Paris Basketball had indeed received… Monaco on October 16th, for a championship match which brought together just over 10,000 people. No doubt Center Court will be packed to see this poster and the final moments of Wembanyama before joining the NBA, with the 19-year-old prodigy set to be drafted in first place on June 22.
