Six other players present in the list of 23 selected by coach Vlatko Andonovski were part of the coronation in France, in 2019.
Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe will unsurprisingly lead the American group communicated Wednesday for the next Women’s World Cup, from July 20 to August 20 in Australia and New Zealand. Morgan (33) and Rapinoe (37), but also Kelley O’Hara (34), will play their fourth World Cup on this occasion, of which they are double title holders. Six other players present in the list of 23 selected by coach Vlatko Andonovski were part of the coronation in France, in 2019.
Goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher and midfielder Julie Ertz will be at their third consecutive World Cup. The preparation of the American team has however been disrupted by a series of injuries including that of captain Becky Sauerbrunn who had to forfeit the World Cup. The United States will start against Vietnam on July 22 in Auckland.
