Stadium bans and fines for perpetrators of racist acts against Vinicius (Real Madrid)

The Spanish government has announced the sanctions that will be addressed to supporters who have committed racist acts towards Vinicius since the beginning of the year. At the end of January, a mannequin bearing his image was hanged from a bridge in Madrid, before a derby against Atlético. The four accused of committing the act were fined €60,000, as well as a two-year stadium ban. These members of an ultra group are being prosecuted for “hate crime”.

THE recent insults received in Valencia by the Brazilian were also punished. The three identified perpetrators were fined €5,000, and will be banned from the stadium for one year. These sanctions still have to be approved by government bodies responsible for security issues in the country.
