Salis Abdul Samed extends the Lens until 2028
After RB Leipzig’s attacks on Lois Openda, RC Lens sends a first message to the competition. Salis Abdul Samed extends his lease in Artois for an additional season, i.e. until June 2028. Technically, as the regulations require, the Artesian club had to wait for the opening of the transfer market to have him initial this extension, the Ghanaian international (23 years old, 4 caps) who signed for five seasons (2027) last summer.
The perfect complement to Fofana
This extension rewards his full season which has largely contributed to the results of his team by his ability to exercise effective counter-pressing and to secure the midfield, especially when losing the ball. The former Clermont foot player was also the perfect complement to Seko Fofana who had more freedom to project himself towards the opposing surface when he provided defensive balance.
The only downside this season: his expulsion from the Parc des Princes against PSG (1-3, 19th) in the match at the top of the 31st day, leaving his partners ten against eleven and which, in the end, tipped the title of champion in favor of the Parisian club.
