Real Madrid formalized on Wednesday the arrival of English international Jude Bellingham, from Borussia Dortmund, until 2029.
“Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have agreed on the transfer of player Jude Bellingham, who will be linked to our club for the next six seasonsthe Spanish club said in a statement.
Dortmund had already announced a week ago an agreement in principle on the transfer of the midfielder to Real Madrid for 103 million euros to which bonuses of up to 30% of this amount may be added.
The new Real Madrid recruit, injured and forfeited for the Euro-2024 qualifying matches with the English selection, will be presented to the press on Thursday at the Madrid club’s training center.
The arrival of Bellingham, 19, will allow the Merengue club to continue the overhaul of its aging midfield with the thirties Luka Modric (37) and Toni Kroos (33).
His coming in theWhite Housefollows that of Frenchman Aurélien Tchouameni, 23, in 2022 and Eduardo Camavinga, 20, in 2021.
The Englishman is the most important recruit since the start of the transfer period for the Madrid club, which saw its French center forward Karim Benzema leave for Saudi Arabia.
