The transfer of Lorient midfielder Enzo Le Fée to Rennes on his return from Euro-Espoirs has been the subject of an agreement in principle between the two clubs, we learned on Friday from sources close to Lorient and the player.
The amount of the transfer is around 20 million euros, while the 23-year-old player had only one year left on his contract at Lorient.
Enzo Le Fée is currently at the Euro Espoirs in Romania and the signing will not take place before the beginning of July.
Small (1.70m), very technical and with a sharp vision of the game, Le Fée was born and trained in Lorient, where he made his professional debut in May 2019.
Since then, he has continued to grow in the Hake game. Given leaving last summer, he stayed to work with Régis Le Bris, who had known him in training.
But he had announced in the spring his desire to join a more ambitious club. According to several media, his choice quickly fell on Rennes, but the discussions between the two clubs lasted.
In mid-June, the president of Rennes, Olivier Cloarec, had confirmed on France Bleu Armorique that the Red and Black were targeting Le Fée but also Ludovic Blas, a precious midfielder from Nantes.
