The German Georg Zimmermann (Intermarché) won the sixth stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné on Friday in the Savoyard resort of Crest-Voland.
He beat the two other survivors of the morning break, the French Mathieu Burgaudeau (TotalEnergies) and the Spaniard Jonathan Castroviejo (Ineos).
Dane Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma), who arrived in a group comprising the main favorites, retains the leader’s yellow jersey before the last two mountain stages this weekend.
