France Télévisions has published its audience figures for Roland-Garros 2023. Some scores have broken 15-year-old records.

Four matches with more than three million viewers

The men’s final of more than three hours of play, opposing Novak Djokovic to Casper Ruud, attracted 4.8 million viewers (42% of PDA), with a peak of 6.5 million on match point. The day before, the ladies’ final between Iga Swiatek and Karolina Muchova was watched by 2.2 million viewers (25.2% PDA). Best ladies final since 2014.

In addition to the men’s final, three other matches exceeded three million viewers: the semi-final between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz (4.1 million), the second round match between Luca Van che and Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina ( 3.2 million) and the round of 16 between Iga Swiatek and Beatriz Haddad Maia. Note that the first round match between Lucas Pouille and Jurij Rodionov attracted 2.7 million curious people.

Finally, France Télévisions notes that the young people were there. Four million 15/24 year olds watched the Tournament. 52% of PDA over 15/24 year olds in the men’s final.
