INTERVIEW – For the LR president of the opposition group “Changer Paris”, the new urban plan voted by the socialist majority will aggravate the problems of a capital which she considers “disfigured”.
LE FIGARO .- What are the main reasons for your hostility to Anne Hidalgo’s new local urban plan (PLU)?
Rachida DATI .- Ms. Hidalgo has refused for years a real debate on the future of Paris. There is a reason for this refusal: she would have to agree to make an honest essment of the State of Paris. What is this balance sheet? The deterioration of the quality of life of all Parisians and all those who visit the capital. Paris has reached an unprecedented level of insecurity, it is a major subject where Anne Hidalgo is in denial. As if aults, burglaries, women’s fear of moving about in public space did not concern her. After years of fighting, we obtained the creation of a municipal police. But it is not equipped to meet the security challenges. The contempt for those who need protection the most, the young, the elderly, the women, the vulnerable, is what characterizes this municipality. The daily reality…
