The Belgian Eden Hazard, who recently left Real Madrid without ever having managed to impose himself there, has “still have the energy to play“, he said on television RTBF Saturday on the sidelines of the Belgium-Austria match.
Asked if he was still physically fit to be a professional footballer, the 32-year-old replied with a “Yes” franc.
“I rested for two or three years (at Real). I still have some energy left“, he quipped a few moments after receiving the ovation of the 42,000 spectators at the King Baudouin stadium. The winger has played little with Real Madrid, which he joined in June 2019.
The former striker of Lille and Chelsea, who retired from international football after the World Cup last December, however ured “not having made a decisionas to a possible continuation of a club career.
“I’m going to take a family vacation first before I make up my mind“, he ured without commenting on the rumors sending him to Lille, a club with which he broke through at the highest level, or to Vancouver in Canada or even to RWDM where his brother Kylian plays in Belgium.
