STORY – The ailant, a Syrian refugee, had been refused his asylum request in France, four days before the tragedy.
After the emotion, comes the time for questions: could the Annecy tragedy have been avoided? The day after the attack that injured sixincluding four children, the right calls in any case to show greater “firmness” on reception conditions in France. Present in the territory for eight months, the ailant, a 32-year-old Syrian refugee, had indeed filed an asylum application with the French authorities.
