The Colombian Santiago Buitrago (Bahrain) won on the 19e stage of the Tour of Italy. He beat Canadian Derek Gee and Dane Manus Cort.
Colombian Santiago Buitrago (Bahrain), from the morning breakaway, won the queen stage of the Tour of Italy on Friday at the top of Tre Cime di Lavaredo, where Briton Geraint Thomas retained the leader’s pink jersey.
Already winner of a stage last year on the Giro, the 23-year-old rider won ahead of the Canadian Derek Gee (Israel PT), who finished for the fourth time in second place in this Giro of which he is the one of the main animators.
In the general clification, Thomas remains first ahead of the Slovenian Primoz Roglic.
