Several arrests after the deadly stampede in El Salvador

The prosecution appointed three Alianza FC team managers, including the president, the security manager and the financial manager, as well as the general manager of the Estadios Deportivos de El Salvador (EDESSA) and the manager of the keys to the stadium, who will be prosecuted for culpable homicide, culpable injury and breach of public order.

“The negligence in the organization and greed, through overselling, generated a human avalanche that caused loss of life, as well as injuries and endangered the safety of the participants. They will be brought to justice in the coming days.”the prosecutor’s office said on Twitter Thursday.

According to the institution’s investigations, the gates provided were not sufficient for the number of supporters and the entrances were not opened early enough for orderly and safe entry.
