Bruno Le Maire is rolling in his green speech
DECRYPTION – Visiting the Loiret to inaugurate the largest French “vegetable meat” factory, the Minister of the Economy has rekindled the quarrel between breeders and producers of vegetable proteins.
Symbol of “turn” green that he intends to take, the vegetable steak which has seized Bruno the Mayor talk in the countryside. By inaugurating last week the largest hexagonal factory of “vegetable meat” in the Loiret, the Minister of the Economy put the world of breeding in turmoil. “100 g of vegetable protein generates 60 to 90% less greenhouse gases than 100 g of animal protein”he abounded on Twitter, as he promotes his green industry bill.
“Why so much relentlessness?”exclaimed the LR deputy for Ain, Xavier Breton, on Tuesday during questions to the government, accusing the Minister of “disqualify animal protein” at the very moment when the Court of Auditors has just recommended a reduction in the size of herds.
