Senatorial: at EELV, the designation of the sister of François de Rugy is causing mayhem

Ecologists are already head over heels for senatorial elections September 2023. But some decisions turn sour. In Seine-Saint-Denis, the permanent electoral commission (CPE) of EELV decided this Monday evening in favor of Anne de Rugy, environmental activist and sister of Francois de RugyEmmanuel Macron’s ex-minister, to head the list.

Anne de Rugy is a municipal councilor in Bagnolet, territorial councilor in charge of urban agriculture and metropolitan councilor for Greater Paris. But according to our information, this choice is decried by some environmentalists, indignant that a candidate not from “diversity” has been appointed in this popular department. They notably expressed it in the internal loop of the federal council of EELV, the parliament of the party.

“Yesterday, the Political and Electoral Commission (CPE) of Europe Écologie-les Verts nominated its candidates for the senatorial elections. Once again the designated list is disappointing because it does not sufficiently represent either skills or diversity, because it does not place any woman or man from diversity in an eligible position, “underlines the message that Le Parisien has consulted.

The latter eyed the place igned to Anne de Rugy.

And to question, again: “Is this department only one among the 101 French? Or the most concrete incarnation of inequalities in our country and the best laboratory of this popular ecology that will make us surp ourselves and enter the history of great French politics, that of government? »
