Unions increase pressure at Orange
They are opposed to the elimination of 670 positions in the business branch and the reorganization of the shops.
The social fronts to be managed are multiplying at Orange. A little over a year after taking office, on April 4, 2022, the Chief Executive Officer, Christel Heydemann, has to face the anger of some employees internally. In a sector in need of growth, Orange has been focusing for several months on refocusing on its core business. Since her arrival, the new boss has made several strong choices such as the end of the adventure in content (Orange Ciné Séries) or that likely to come in banking (Orange Bank).
But it is on two other issues at the heart of the group’s economic model that she is questioned: the fate of the business division and the committed reorganization of the network of shops.
