Julia Simon preserved, first relay for Oscar Lombardot
This Friday afternoon, the French Ski Federation published the compositions for the last relays of the season which will be held in Östersund on Saturday. While Julia Simon is in good shape to win the big globe, the World Cup leader will be preserved.
At 2 p.m. on Saturday, the French women will set off for their last stint in this 2022-2023 World Cup. Lou Jeanmonnot, Chloé Chevalier, Caroline Colombo and Anaïs Chevalier-Boucher will be lined up to try to win the specialty globe. The Tricolores are only six points behind the Swedes in the standings and success would ensure them the title. Sophie Chauveau will also be resting, as will the yellow World Cup bib Julia Simon.
First for Lombardot
Regarding the men’s relay, the staff of the French team did not have to think long to select the biathletes who will take part in this last collective race of the season. With only four men present in Sweden, only the order of the quartet was to be defined. And it’s Oscar Lombardot who will start the race at 4:30 p.m. for his first stint in the World Cup. The 22-year-old will be followed by Antonin Guigonnat, Eric Perrot, before Fabien Claude finishes. Third at 115 points from Norway, the French will only be able to play as well as possible the place of dolphin held by Germany with 25 points in advance before the last departure.
