LeBron James will be out for at least three weeks

A hard blow for the Los Angeles Lakers who will have to do without LeBron James for at least three weeks, as the Californian franchise announced on Thursday. Injured right foot during his team’s win over Dallas on Monday night, number 23 suffers from the right tendon and will be examined again in three weeks.

His injury comes at a crucial time in the Lakers’ season. Currently 11th in the Western Conference, with a record of 30 wins and 33 losses, the Californians can still believe in the play-offs. The absence of the “King” could cost them dearly as he is essential this season (29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 6.9 average assists per game) and more generally since his arrival in 2018.

If his injury progresses positively, he could return on March 22 against the Phoenix Suns at home, which would have caused him to miss 10 games. There are 19 games left for the Lakers before the end of the regular season and to grab a place in the play-offs.
